Job Title: Personal Attendant
Department: Supportive Living Services (SLS)
Reports to: SLS Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Salary Range: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour, depending on experience
SLS Personal Attendant WORK SCHEDULE Full-time, hours vary.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES for SLS Personal Attendant – Provide advocacy and support services to disabled adult consumers -Provide training and support services to adults with Autism -Modeling/teaching appropriate living skills and behaviors -Provide crisis management and behavioral interventions as necessary -Transport consumers to and from home to medical appointments and activities as scheduled
QUALIFICATIONS – High School diploma or GED – Ability to meet Community Care Licensing requirements which include a physical examination, TB test, and DOJ and FBI criminal record clearance – At least 21 years of age – A valid California driver’s license, personal vehicle insurance coverage, and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance company – Ability to work well with a diverse population of clients, families, and staff If you are interested in applying for this position
